About me and my practice
There are many different approaches within counselling but essentially they all aim to promote awareness, understanding, empowerment and change.
I work from the premise that we all carry the wisdom within us to know what is truly best for our progress and development. An integration of skills and approaches in combination with the client-therapist relationship, serve to promote and facilitate the application, growth and trusting of this inner resource.
In a space of non-judgement, positive regard, empathy and authentic engagement, you will have the freedom to unfold and reconnect with this part of yourself and in this way create the life you truly wish to lead.
I work in this way over an extensive range of issues relating to adult emotional wellbeing as well as working with young people, students, minority ethnic and LGBTQ groups.
Counselling does not offer advice or tell you how to live your life. We will work collaboratively to explore and attend to your issues of concern and discover what is uniquely required by you to balance, improve your wellbeing, and move forward in a more fulfilling way.
